Hello! I'm Mollie from Wild Olive, and I'm so happy to be celebrating the arrival of spring with Erin and Sherry. I live near Chicago, and March can mean lovely weather or more snow...you never know when spring is really going to show up. But that's okay. Even when there's snow around, I can still enjoy my favorite thing about spring: the colors! I seriously love spring colors...so pretty!
Once I got to thinking about the colors that I love, I knew that I had to use those springy shades for an embroidery...it's what I do! And you can stitch up a sweet little daisy too...with your own favorite seasonal colors. Download the pattern here.
This is designed to fit in a 5" hoop. The pattern shows the placement of the daisy, but the rest is up to you! I filled in the open area with a whole bunch of lazy daisy stitches and french knots. It's lots of fun to just improvise with these and place things where you feel like it!
Once everything is all stitched, frame it all up in a painted embroidery hoop (thanks to Michelle for reminding me of this lovely trick!). Now you can have a bit of spring all the time! Thanks so much for inviting me ladies!

Erin here! Isn't Mollie the best?! Be sure to check out her blog and all her craft projects because they are amazing. She is one of my favorite bloggers. Also, Sherry from Oh So Lovely has been posting Spring Fling projects all month long on her blog as well...if you want to know what she did with these pretty doilies and her instax camera go check it out.
It's sunshine-y outside today, after days of dreary cold weather...I'm so excited that Spring is almost *officially* here. I hope these posts have been getting your ready and prepared to wake up from your cold winter-y home and step outside the box to freshen up your home, your wardrobe and most of all, inspire you. If you want to participate in the Spring Fling projects and do some on your own, maybe even add in your own twist be sure to grab a Spring Fling blog button (over on the left hand side of my blog) and post some of your own projects on your blog or add some photos to the Sunshine and Carousels flickr group.
