Renegade Craft Fair in Austin was so much fun. It was such a pleasure to meet some Sunshine and Carousels readers in person, other artists and vendors at the show and everyone else in between. I was sort of in handmade heaven at this show. If someone could have given me a few thousand dollars to go shopping I would have easily bought something from everyone...that is how amazing everyone was.
Oh, and you'll also see my new booth display set up. It's been a work in progress but I'm glad I finally got it all done for this show. You can see my giant embroidery hoops used as display boards and new hand painted banner. Also, just wanted to say thanks to Jennifer from Naughty Secretary Club for mentioning my displays...made my day.
I bought a print from Public School (see the post below), beautiful photography prints from Abby Try Again (whom I've followed for a long time and had the ultimate pleasure of meeting in person...love her!), some cute little plushie from My Paper Crane, pretty pretty earrings from F. is for Frank (you probably remember me talking about them from Spring Bash a few weeks ago, I'm in love with their work). I also got a ton of prints from a special lady which I'm going to share about later...I'm smitten with her!
Oh, and I loved Austin. Well, actually I've been there a lot because my Aunt and Uncle live there and I grew up in Texas but it's been a few years since I've been to visit. I wish I could have stayed longer to shop and see everything but I wanted to get back to my little girl and back home so I hurried it back as soon as I could. I did however get to trying out a few fun restaurants such as Salvation Pizza, Maudies, Taco Deli and the ever -so-famous Hey Cupcake! I quite enjoyed getting a cupcake out of a camper. I tried the Vanilla Dream one...and it was dreamy.
I didn't catch many photos with blogger friends..my mind was elsewhere. Just wanted to say a special hello to Dana from Craftyminx, Roxy from Grrfiesty and Maryam from Pamplemousse (which we've failed to catch photos moth times we've met). And all the others that came and say hello ...I love and adore you all.
So that's it for the Renegade Recap. It was such a great experience and I loved every minute of it.
