Around the Wilson Home

I've been a major home-body this last week. I'm headed out for a long weekend trip to see my family down in Texas and pick up little Penelope who has been getting spoiled rotten by her grandparents. Before I get all packed up and head out on my road trip I had to get so many things finished in the studio, projects to share on the blog and lots of orders shipped before the big trip. I actually enjoy being home a lot just as much as I love road tripping, fun nights out and all the rest. My home always feels so cozy and an inviting place to be. I like it here. I wanted to share a few little peeks into my house and my week as I'm heading out on my trip today. Up above is the beginnings of my latest obsession collection, vintage crewel art. Oh yes.
Josh's obsession collection of records. We still haven't hooked up our record player since we moved in but I'm going to force Josh to do it so we can listen to the new She&Him Christmas album. Can't wait.
Speaking of Christmas, the Christmas decorating has started. We do the Elf on the Shelf every year with Penelope. Anyone else do that?
The ever-growing vintage Christmas ornament collection. I. Need. More. #helpme haha.
Our Christmas stuff is sort of in random places right now as we get it all out of storage and figure out where I want to place it all in our new house. Oh and I made some new curtains from an old vintage sheet. I'm handy like that sometimes.
Although these may look like they are going on our Christmas tree, they were actually a project I made (after seeing this pretty pin on pinterest) to hang in the studio from my big bay window. I'm really obsessed with them.

November has been a catch-up and realization kind of month for me. I've been trying to catch-up on my big to-do list and trying to meet lots of goals I've set for myself. Things like finish re-organizing the studio and do some new decorating. It needed a fresh face and some uplifting inspiration in there. Then I realized that an entire year flew by like it was a week or something. I feel like I blinked and time just vanished. I was thinking about my New Year's resolutions and I realized I hadn't really met them all but at the same time my year turned into a pretty great year. So I'm thankful for that and I'm glad I have moments like that to help me slow down and share some special quality moments with my family. I'm thankful that I have a little road-trip ahead of me because I love to put on some great music and get lost in my thoughts. It'll be some good down time for me.

Hope your day is great.

Love,
   Erin
