I deem this this perfect autumn campfire drink. I was on a mission to find a hot apple cider or hot chocolate alternative to a warm autumn drink on those cool fall nights. It's like an apple cider like wassail type of drink containing cranberries and oranges. Recipe is below.
Ingredients:
4 cups of cranberry juice
3 cups of fresh orange juice (I used Simply Orange brand)
20-25 red hot or cinnamon candies (depending on their size)
5 whole cloves
1/2 cup of sugar (optional but helps with any tartness)
You can substitute bottle cranberry juice for freshly made cranberry juice by boiling four cups of water with four cups of fresh cranberries. Bring your water to boil and add your cranberries. Boil for 10-15 minutes or until your cranberries *pop.* Strain your berries over a strainer and cheesecloth. Add your juice back to a pot and add 1 cup of sugar heat until the juice and sugar are dissolved.
To make the Cranberry Orange Wassail add all ingredients to a large pot and heat on low for up to two hours. Stir occasionally and remove cloves by straining before serving. The cinnamon candies will dissolve so you only need to worry about removing the cloves. You can also add a few fresh orange slices to the wassail while heating. When you're done put it in your favorite mug and enjoy.
You can easily add apple juice, pineapple juice, cinnamon sticks...whatever flavors you love.
This would be the perfect fall party drink or a thanksgiving dessert drink. It made our house smell amazing.
Enjoy!
Love,
Erin

I notice red velvets new winter collection is an exact replica of your shop :( did you play a part in creating this new line? With those girls always calling people out for copying their products, its a shame to see your vision in their shop.
