As mentioned in my Birthday Goal's post a couple of weeks ago, I plan filling three art journals by my next birthday. I really want to practice painting, build up my skills again while I embark on some future shop projects (that do include art of some sort). Can't wait to share more on that in the future but for now...here is something I'm working on in my journal this week. It's not a secret that I love flowers, floral print...all of it. My journals usually have tons of flowers in them anyway, why not start by sharing this. I had some 70's artwork stuck in my head while painting this. Just a quick little water color painting I did up this week.
I hope your week has been pretty decent so far. I'm recuperating from our long road trip/vacation from the past two weeks. Why one needs to recuperate from vacation is beyond me but for some reason I had zero motivation or energy to get anything done. Yesterday seemed like the longest day ever, getting back in the studio working, running errands, cleaning out all that disgusting food from the fridge that went bad, then filling it back up with fresh veggies and fruit from a grocery store trip. I mean, I did a LOT yesterday and I'm exhausted. However, I'm so caught up on orders in the studio I'm ready to work on some new designs. Yes!! Somehow I was able to push away those post vacation blues and lack of motivation to get some things done. I even found a new (vintage) coffee table and end table at a store next to the place I needed to get my driver's license from. Nice huh? Killing two birds with...well you know. That phrase always makes me feel guilty. Why would someone throw stones to kill birds? It's so mean.
I do hope you guys enjoy this new little art journal series, it's very therapeutic.
