New Etsy Shop - Little Carousels

Soooo!! I'm finally announcing me new etsy shop with you guys. It's called 'Little Carousels' and it's an accessory shop for little ladies. There's no doubt that I was absolutely inspired by my very own daughter. Miss Penelope asks me to make her headbands all the time, she's the frilly makeup, curled hair and dresses kinda gal. She loves it all. This shop has been something I've been thinking about for a long time. I have a difficult time finding cute hair accessories from chain stores that aren't bedazzled or your typical grosgrain ribbon bow. I wanted to create something special with that little touch of vintage that I love...just for little girls. At this time I have child size versions of a handful of designs from my regular etsy shop Sunshine and Carousels carried in the Little Carousel's shop. I've been working on some very special designs ...very very special pieces to be added to the shop in a few months. I really am just over the moon about all the new things happening in my regular shop and this new shop.  I really love what I do and this new children's shop is just another dream of mine being realized.

You may recognize the Little Carousel's model here. You've seen her face here and there on my blog. I told her my idea for creating a children's shop a few months ago. I had a couple of girls that were a little bit older in mind for modeling piece for the children's shop but I thought I'd ask Penelope if she was interested in being the model. She said 'yes yes yes!!' and has been asking me for months 'when is the photo shoot for the children's shop mommy?'  So we finally had our first product shoot and she was in heaven. I really think she loves being in front of the camera. I need to take some lessons from her myself. She got to keep any headband she loved for being my little model. We had so much fun. I think this is a match made in heaven. 

Well, there you have it folks...my new handmade adventure. I have so many ideas for children's accessories and I'm currently working on a very very special project for this children's shop that I'll get to share with you in a couple of months.  You can take a look at the rest of the shop here at littlecarousels.etsy.com.
