A Lalaloopsy Party

And I quote 'This is the BEST birthday ever.' She said it folks. I could not be a happier momma just to see all her excitement. Penelope requested a Lalaloopsy birthday party for her 5th birthday (which is in about a week-and-a-half). I also love lalaloopsies so it was pretty fun to put together for her. Our favorite Lalaloopsy is Peanut Big Top and because she invited several boys to her party we thought it was best to go with a bit of a circus theme for the party. We made sure to make crafty things during the party...to go with the lalaloopsy theme so we made circus animal puppets and I included necklace kits in the party favors. We even had lalaloopsy coloring pages! We served circus cake (I made a raspberry almond cake with cream cheese frosting), cotton candy, popcorn, mini-corn dogs, pink lemonade and all sorts of things to put you in a sugar coma. The kids seemed to be having a blast and my sweet baby girl was having the time of her life. I wish I could re-live this day over again because it was the best thing in the world to watch Penelope enjoy her big day. She was such a sweet heart about everything, thanking everyone and showing her friends around her room and all around the party. I was so proud of her for being such a big sweet heart.

Yes, those are paper plate buttons. :) I got a lot of supplies from Hey Yo Yo and everything else I made myself or picked up from a local party store.  It was seriously so fun to put together.

Love,
    Erin

  4. What the fudge! Hang colour paper plates with four black dots in the middle, instant awesome button garland. Such a simple idea and a big impact. Just had one of those, "duh, why didn't I think of that" moments.

    Amazing job.

  5. Is it okay for a 23 year old to have a Lalaloopsy birthday party? If not, I wish I was turning five years old instead of 23!

By the way, this party, and your blog, are the cutest things ever <3
